CARD READERS

In countries where in-person card payments are available, you can turn your Store tab into a point of sale capable of processing card payment. In order to do, you will need to connect the app to a physical card reader.

Figure below is a store capable of processing in-person card payment. The card reader icon is green indicating an established connection with the reader.

Before your store can process card payment, you will need to complete the Banking & Payments setup first. To complete the setup simply go to Main Menu -> Banking & Payment and follow the instruction. Online and in-person card payments are provided in collaboration with Stripe. In addition to our terms, you will need to also acknowledge their terms in order to access this feature.

ORDER A CARD READER

Check Availability
To check for supported readers in your region,
  1. Go to Main Menu -> Manage -> Card Readers.
  2. Click Check Availability.
The supported list of hardware will be displayed. Note: The Card Readers option will be disabled if no card reader is supported in your region.
Order a reader
You can order any one of the supported reader from your Dashboard underneath the Banking & Payment page. To place an order,
  1. Go to your Main Menu -> Banking & Payments. Scroll to the bottom and click Open Dashbaord.
  2. From the left menu in your dashboard, select Payments -> Terminal.
  3. Under the Hardware orders section, click Shop.
  4. Select the desired reader and place the order. Once your receive the hardware go to the next section.
Connect a card reader
To connect to a card reader follow the following steps:
  1. Power on the card reader. Keep the reader closeby.
  2. From the Store tab, select Manage->Card Readers. You can also click the card reader icon.
  3. Select the card reader from the list. For example, if your chosen reader was the bluetooth reader, select stripe-m2 from the list.
Once connected, the card reader icon will turn green. Congrats! you are now ready to process card payments.

PROCESS A PAYMENT

To process an in-person card payment, follow the steps below:
  1. In the Store tab, add desired items to the cart (long press and select 'Add To Cart').
  2. Click the cart icon to review the items in the cart.
  3. Click Checkout to start the checkout process.
  4. In the Enter Customer page, enter a username (optional). You can lookup username using a registered phone no as well. If a username was entered, an order detail will be send to that user's account.
  5. Select Card and follow the on-screen instructions.

To process a payment for an order that was placed online, simply open the order from the Order tab, Click Pay and follow the on-screen instructions.
